Astonishing but the IBM web site actually lists drivers for the T42p for Sound, Video and the GigaBit LAN card.
But not for the wireless adapter
The PC-Card chipset is now from Texas Instruments and the SNAP drivers work like a charm on the grahpics card (I did not test the native IBM drivers, but I trust they work, as they are specifically listed for this model).
Yep, everything works here on my T42p (2373-X41) except for the wireless (Intel 2100 3B) and the crappy winmodem(all of which are a waste of silicon). Even suspend works and when I wake up the system everything works including the Cisco 350 PCMCIA wireless card I'm using.
I'm using SNAP here as well. also I'musing UNIAUD instead of the Soundmax driver. Both SNAP/SE and UNIAUD are included as part of the eCS 1.2 installation, so it was easier to just install those.
