For Sale:

One Lenovo ThinkPad T520 Laptop. This is model 4239-CTO. I took delivery of it at the beginning of June; as such, it is roughly two months old (date code 6/12), and still has 10 months outstanding on the manufacturer depot warranty (exp. 6/15/2013). It is eligible for a warranty upgrade (term extension, onsite service, and/or accidental damage coverage). The machine is practically brand new; it has only been out of the house once, and has been used solely by me, a nonsmoker adult, in a pet-free environment. There is no damage whatsoever; I can't even find any wear on the rubber corners of the lid, since it has only been in its sleeve once.

I love this machine, and really don't want to see it go--I ordered it just before the T520 CTO orders were discontinued to be sure I'd get one. Unfortunately, I now need to have something with more muscle for CAD work, so it has to go out the door in favor of something a little bit beefier. It really is the an excellent machine, and is ideally configured for Linux useage (good support for non-Optimus graphics and Intel WiFi), too.

Since the T520 is no longer available for order from Lenovo, the best comparison I could come up with for pricing is what's available in the Outlet--a similarly configured machine comes in in the $800-900 range (the FHD screen being the key delineator from the cheaper machines). One one hand, you'll get an extra two months of warranty from those...but unlike an outlet machine, mine is eligible for a warranty upgrade/extension...a pretty big perk. As for the condition of the machine, rest assured it is as advertised; my feedback on this Forum has been superb. I've sold a couple T60s, R51s, and another (nearly identical) T520 and have gotten glowing feedback, including from one of our mods.

As I'm going back to school next Wednesday, I need this gone quickly; if no interest appears by the weekend, I'll put it up on eBay.
