FS: IBM Thinkpad T42 - $70

Hello! A friend of mine who wanted to try Thinkpads has given back this T42 that he wanted to try out, so now I have it to sell on here.

It's a 2373-WAH, T42, with 1GB of RAM, a 40GB IDE HDD, the 1.7GHz P-M, and Radeon 9600. This one has a 1400x1050 SXGA+ screen.

The laptop itself is in fair condition, with some scuffs on the bottom and of course... a few marks in the coating on the lid. No serious cosmetic defects however- no cracked plastics or gashes. The keyboard is a bit worn, but weirdly enough the palmrest and touchpad are just fine with almost no wear at all.

The laptop starts up just fine and with Windows 7... operates a bit sluggish, owing mostly to the low RAM count(upgrading the RAM would help). The 14" 1400x1050 SXGA+ display is bright and very clear, but there are some flaws in the polarizer which I tried to capture in the 4th image. You might be able to see it in other images as well. For normal work- it isn't much of an issue. I will include a battery, which you can see it's status in the 6th photo. Has quite a bit of wear but still holds a decent enough charge for limited use away from the plug.

I will include a power adapter with this laptop. I'll be shipping it with USPS Priority Medium Flat Rate unless the buyer has any other requests in shipping. Would like $80 for the whole thing OBO.
