Thinkpad hard drive protection question
Thinkpad hard drive protection question
The program that stops the hard drive when shocks are felt is that just for the main drive or the ultrabay as well?
Seeing as I have a SSD it seems pointless to have it running?

Re: Thinkpad hard drive protection question
Seems like it only works for the main drive.

Re: Thinkpad hard drive protection question
I have it disabled on all of my machines that sport an SSD...

I figured it might of been when I noticed when I shook the laptop it stopped loading for a few .
Re: Thinkpad hard drive protection question
It does work on UltraBay and it knows about SSDs. I used to have a T60 with SSD in the main bay and a spinning drive in UltraBay. I tried playing a video from both and it would freeze when I shook it (indicating that the drive has been parked) only when playing from the HDD in the UltraBay. The SSD remained unaffected.
