Classic TP keyboard used on early Novena prototypes

Pics of the open-source Novena early prototype were posted earlier this week on one of the creators' blog.

Now that's something refreshing, chaps, isn't it?
A 7-row, non-island and button-featured-trackpoint keyboard?! Is that still possible in 2014? Smart people say yes!
Bonus: it sports a 13” 2560×1700 LED-backlit panel 8)

Crowfunding campaign to be started within a month or two!
By no means a feature-for-feature Thinkpad replacement, but I'm already planning to order one.

My friend messaged me about this. Apparently it's like a kit project for formulating your own laptops... and yes, it's as hard as it sounds. Regardless- if they make it as practical as they're hoping to make it as they say on the blog, I'd probably take them up on this.

'betcha that'll survive a light shower, huh? Just kidding... they plan on 3D printing some adaptible panels for the laptop at some point.
