thinkpad durability

Seems like the T4x thinkpads are not as weak as previously thought:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XOCn0JYOl6g. Survives being thrown off the top of a parking garage :eek: .

What do you mean by "as previously thought"? Are they not considered quite durable for years by now?
My T430 with GTX 560 Ti (Now with GTX 670)
T430: i5-3320m, 8 GB, SSD + HDD, 1600x900.

Well, the T4x series has often been regarded as one of the least durable of the thinkpad line because of its thinness and lack of some reinforcement seen in other thinkpads. It is, however, the best looking thinkpad in my opinion.

Only in terms of the GPU loosening over time.

Anyway, those guys in the video just got lucky. Don't expect all T4* Thinkpads to survive drops like these. Even a drop from a table could cause significant damage.
