Thanks for posting the news, bhzmark :)

Too bad we can't distinguish whether the lid will have LATCHES or not. Hopefully it will...

1600x900 would be surprising. That would likely raise the cost of the X220 and in today's world, where everyone tries to get the best deal, I can't see Lenovo doing it. I think most users would prefer a better screen to more real estate, especially on a 12" notebook.

Re 1600x900, i agree. I would love to have a thinkpad that even comes close to the Sony Z series.

First, I read Japanese, and Google Translate did a poor job.

Second, no that's not a leak. It's just what the author "wish" his X220s to be.

There are only two links about X220 on that website.

The first one was reporting the leaks found on 51nb.com. He expressed his disappointment that the X220 move to 16:9 and tighter vertical space, and then he expressed his wish that if 1600x900 would be available.

The second link on that website, the one posted here, was just his personal opinion, saying what he would like his personal purchase of the X220s to be like:

CPU: he said he would pick the lowest voltage i7
RAM: 4GB is enough
SSD: He would install one himself this time (probably he ordered a ThinkPad that came with SSD before)
.
.
.
more importantly, he said that "there are rumor that X220 will be 16:9" and he hopes that he can get 1600x900
