Lenovo Solution Center/Thinkvantage Toolkit

#1 Post by indicium » Fri Apr 25, 2014 1:33 pm

What is the advantage of using one or the other of these tools? I did a clean install and have not installed Solution Center. I have Thinkvantage Toolkit on my T410 and hardly ever look at it. It runs once a month and reports that everything is fine, this has been going on for 49 months. I don't really think I need it but wondered what others were doing.

I usually do a clean install and leave off most of the ThinkVantage tools.

^^^ Yep same here. I like power manager, maybe active protection if I have a HDD, system update and that's about it. I'm a freak about installing the latest hardware drivers so I do that. Anything else is just bloatware.
