NOTE - do not expect the IBM wireless manager to recognize your card, it WONT. What this mean is you cannot turn the card off with Fn-F5 and the wireless indicator LED does not work.
UPDATE: I just installed Win7 - Sweet. Drivers for the card loaded with the W7 install and after installing the hot keys from Lenovo I cna now use Fn-F5 to turn my wifi on and off. LED still doesn't work.
I know this is an old post, but I wanted to correct and add to this.
With the TL-WN861N in a ThinkPad T43, Fn+F5 controls the WiFi just fine, and the LED also works just fine. You have to ground pin 13 on the MiniPCI slot.
There is some info here:http://xenomorph.net/misc/guides/wifi-led-thinkpad/
The LED also works a little funny (it's reversed under Linux, and blinks constantly under Windows).
I have the Windows fix in the above link (reverse two values in the registry), and I have the Linux fix here:http://xenomorph.net/misc/guides/ubuntu-t43/
