I hear about "some" error in HD Tune if mod SATA Marvel chip, but it's ok, and,

- how maximum read and write if i use HDD SATA Second Ultrabay/Adapter with SSD, with XP ?
- with Win 7 ?
- best SSD in HDD SATA second ultrabay in T43p ?

tks

Using SATA HDD/SSD in UltraBay with the adapter is a pure waste, it defalust to UDMA2 iirc.

If you want the best mod, then do SATA mod by removing the Marvell SATA-> PATA chip, put in some ~60GB SSD for system disk and use big HDD in Ultrabay for storing data. Very cost-efficient and fast.

Pentium M 780 + 2x 1GB 533MHz RAM in dual channel mode + bridged Marvell chip + internal SSD on SATA wires + Lexar ExpressCard SSD for Windows ReadyBoost. This would be the most safety & powerful configuration for T43p. For this investment you can probably buy an equipped T61p or T400 so consider the money for this mod carefully.
