I have the T43 set to go to standby when I close the lid and it does within 10 or 15 seconds. When I open the lid it wakes up normally with everything coming up running like when I closed it, usually I see it connect to the internet etc then about 1 minute into running the message always pops on the screen that it is going into standby and it does, keystrokes, space bar nothing will stop it from going to standby. If I then push the startup button after it's asleep it immediately wakes up and performs totally normal.

TIA

edit: I opened power options on another machine and made everything match and no change

Update: I swapped hard drives from another T43 and the same problem exists, so is that a BIOS or EC problem? It's an 1860CAU and the BIOS is v1.29 (no 2010 error version) and the EC is v1.05 which I think are current. I could roll back the BIOS or the EC.

edit: The other 1860CAU that I own is running BIOS v1.29 and EC v1.04 and no such problem.

Just trying to be safe here, I've downloaded EC 1.04 and built a 3.5 in floppy disk, is there any problem dropping back one rev of EC?

Update: I backed off the embedded controller one click to v1.04, went smooth, and the same situation exists. Anyone any ideas, I know it's not a big thing, just trying to figure it out.

After 5 months the problem just "went away". The machine had been unplugged and off for about a week as I was on vacation. I started it up yesterday and then just closed it after using, when I opened it today it came up and stayed up, no sudden sleep, I have to admit I am just shocked.
