Recently I've been looking into multiple Thinkpad laptops for personal use lately, and my latest investment is a T43p which I bought used from someone a few cities away. I got it for just 25£ so it was a bargain for me. And it's in great nick as well.

System specifications of it is the following:

• Pentium M Dothan 2.13GHz
• 2x1GB DDR2 PC2-6400
• Radeon X600 or FireGL V3200 128MB
• Hitachi 40GB ATA Drive
• 14.1'' 1400x1050

I'm a bit unsure about the graphics card as a dxdiag says X600, though drivers for X600 doesn't seem to work properly.

Anyway, I need a way of being 100% sure about what graphics card is actually in it, and the drivers needed for it. I also need some drivers for the WAN and LAN connections in it, as I'm having a struggle getting wireless and my wired connection to work on it.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x86 (32 bits) on it.

So to sum up:
• I need to know what graphics chip is in it
• I need the drivers for it
• I need ethernet drivers
• I need wireless internet drivers (or whatever they are called, I forgot )

Hi Cola, welcome to the forum!

If you look at the bottom of your notebook you will find a 7 digit code, something like 2668-A18 (example only). You then go here, and then click on "Use Quick Path", after entering the 7 digit code you will have the detail specs of your notebook.

For the rest of the drivers, you should install Lenovo System Update 4.03, which you can download from here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-73695

Once you have installed and run the software, you should have most of the drivers installed. Windows Update should also do the job.

I found the number, which was 2668-PEG, entered it on the site, got these specs from it:

P M 770(2.13GHz),
1GB RAM,
80GB 5400rpm HD,
14.1in 1400x1050 LCD,
128MB ATI FireGL V3200,

Which corresponds well with what I know is in my laptop. So I guess it is a FireGL V3200 instead of the X600 which is in my laptop.

I already let Windows Update run and install 120+ updates, so that should be done. I'ma try the Lenovo System Update now.
