Using XGA from T40 into T40p?

#1 Post by venro » Mon Aug 27, 2007 12:02 pm

Like in subject.

My SXGA+ in T40p isn't working too good and I have a spare T40.

I would appreciate quick answer :)

You'll need to transfer not only the XGA LCD panel but also the cable. The easiest way to do it is to swap the entire LCD assembly. The plastic strip that says "T40" or "T40p" comes off easily, so swap that too.

Ok, I swap whole lcd assembly.

Does inverters are the same in SXGA+ and XGA? I could swap those.

I figured it out that this is the issue. Some kind of interferences on the displaying image when it's dynamic. Appears in sxga+ lcd panel, on t40 and t40p.

Matrix and inverters, there's nothing else in lcd assembly right?

The inverter and the cable are inside the LCD assembly. XGA and SXGA+ use the same inverter.
