How do you make those thumbnails that you can click on, to get the full rez image?

Hi

I just uploaded full-res image on IMAGESHACK.US website with no checking any options.
After that I checked image and picked code for forums(code 1)

Nice desktop mph. You gotta love fluxbox for it's simple elegance. Here's what I run on my R52 everyday. OpenSUSE 10.2 KDE.

thanks Harry.

I love fluxbox, it can be a bit of a pain to configure sometimes but it's definitely worth the effort.

(link goes to 440K 1024x768 png)

1. Royale Remixed (using Royal Zune)

2. TrueTransparency (Aero 2 skin)

3. Dark Wood (1024x768)

the combination of these three things on black thinkpad is dead classy.

wish I'd known about royale noir a long time ago, xp really needs it.

I've put that up as my background for a little while - looks very nice indeed! :) Might play around with the colours and see whether I can give it a more "authentic" rosewood/mahogany look

After my successful installation of debian etch on my T23 (and 600X), I have found the perfect wallpaper for debian:

http://www.debianart.org/cchost/?ccm=/m ... hansen/328

The original full sized image is AMAZING and I have cropped the original image around the debian lego (1400*1050) to get a VERY nice wallpaper ... if anyone wants that let me know.

this is one thing that microsoft needs to add to windows. in kde background settings, you can choose a color (or two colors along with one of a variety of gradient types) and then apply one of a variety of blending types. basically what this does is take any background (usually works best with 2- or 4-color simpler images) and completely change the coloring and light source. it works surprisingly well, I just wish it let you save to jpeg or something.

not a perfect example, but I think it illustrates the feature:
http://tintar.com/redwood.png
(640K png; Dark Wood w/ 2-color horizontal gradient, intensity blending, medium balance)
http://tintar.com/greenwood.png
(630K png; Dark Wood w/ 1-color intensity blending, medium balance)

This is my current desktop:

http://rem.qviri.net/wallpaperlulz.png

The file is 1.3 MB, sorry about that.

(Screenshot is from Ubuntu 7.04. I've just updated to 7.10, which looks the same except for a Pidgin icon instead of a Gaim icon in the tray.)

Here's the desktop I was using this summer on my 600X -- I'm still using the same one now, except that I lost my Start button customizations when I updated IE and I haven't gotten around to re-hacking explorer.exe to customize them again.

Also, check out that power level -- 9:25!! On an aging 600X! ...Now whether 9:25 hours represents the actual remaining battery power is another question entirely...

Image

Built from:
1. Royale Remixed
2. Nut Icons for Rube
3. Custom "think" Start button by me
4. TClock (for date in Systray)

Phil.
