I prefer to browse forums using an RSS feed.
I've done it on my other fourms that use the phpbb forum. What I did was to temporarily change the style from subsilver or prosilver, to something else, and once the skin was changed, RSS symbols would pop up and then I could subscribe to the rss feeds, THEN change it back to the stock skin.
I've included a screen shot.

Reason: The first admin was nicer than I am. Don't post anything that makes me have to scroll sideways.

I don't believe the version we're running has an RSS mod built in, and we never added one.

Re: THinkpads.com website suggestion *PIC*
the rss feed is not part of the core of the forum, it's just a skin. If you pick a skin that has a RSS feed buttons built into it, you can pull the code and paste it into your rss feed reader. For example I use google reader.
User Control Panel
You can see that the option of ?my Board style" is missing. Just that one little thing added to the user control panel and I can have thinkpads more on an rss feed.
If that could be done, it would make subscribing to posts easier. I find that the subscription system is helpful, but it definitley plugs up my inbox. Plus my inbox is more for business, and my rss feed is more for entertainment.
