Where did the ads in the upper RH corner come from?

#1 Post by ajkula66 » Sun Jun 23, 2013 1:18 pm

What is this?

I've been getting the ads in the upper RH corner of the forum, on-and-off, for several days now, stuff from Lenovo, Amazon, Mazda (???)

Am I the only one seeing those?

Ah, you may be. Then again, I'm using some ad blocking techniques :) . I've not seen any ads other than the two (eCoupons and newmodeus) in the banner area. AFAIK, Bill has not said anything about allowing advertising in the forum.

I tried two different browsers, one with ad blocking, the other with nothing. Both show what Ray described.

AFAIK ajkula66 uses the K-Meleon browser, which might be acting different from Firefox and IE.
K-Meleon has not been updated in about three years!
That might explain...

All of this actually was in Firefox.

Gone now. As of last night.

Can't replicate it. Weird.
