RAID 1 in Thinkcentre M57p 9088A35?
RAID 1 in Thinkcentre M57p 9088A35?
Am I tilting at windmills to even be considering this? OS is XP and there appears to be a built in controller. I'm aware of at least some of the issues but not sure that any are deal breakers. Anybody btdt with a ThinkCentre? The documentation I've dug up so far is a little sketchy and in some instances contradictory.

Re: RAID 1 in Thinkcentre M57p 9088A35?
Related question. Strikes me that a Windows installation disk with its associated product key might be required as the changes required to enable RAID might render OS installation from basic recovery media useless. Does this at least sound correct?
If so, then I may be SOL, as IBM doesn't ship these things with so much as an i386 folder in the root of the hdd and only supply Recovery media on request for a fee. The ~$50 would be tolerable were there any assurance that the resulting OS included a valid & complete i386 folder.
