Is it possible to add functions to other Fn key combos?

Is it possible to add functions to other Fn key combos?

#1 Post by Jason404 » Fri Dec 10, 2010 1:51 am

Is it possible to add functions to other unused Fn key combos, like Fn + F10 and F11?

I remember on my older ThinkPads there was a ThinkVantage Keyboard Customizer, but I do not remember it being possible with that, and my newer ThinkPads do not have it (XP only I think).

If it is not possible through editing settings file or registry keys, is the Fn key accessible through macro scripting utilities like AutoHotkey and AutoIT (I'd prefer to use AutoIT if it comes to that).

Cheers.

I understand that AutoHotKey can somehow access the Fn key. When I played with it, it could detect Fn keypresses. However my experience with it has been very limited - I never actually tried to do anything useful. AutoIT I haven't tried.

Thanks. At least I should be able to use AutoIT in that case. If anybody does know of a way via .ini files, the registry or whatever, please tell.
