What to do with old, dead, T20 & T30 series batteries

#1 Post by cadillacmike68 » Sun May 25, 2014 9:23 am

I have several old T20 & T30 series batteries. I don't want to just throw them out. Besides the ecological issues, there might be some use for them. Is there any demand for these? I'm also expanding my collection of dead T61 batteries :evil:

Good question! Not much demand (if any) these days, so I'm planning to take all mine to a recycling center, unless someone comes up with a better idea.
Collection = T430 - T500 - R400 - X300 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - R61 (15" SXGA+) - T60 - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P

If you aren't planning on replacing them with functional units, then I'd say that the best way to recycle them would be to donate them to a battery re-celling company. batteryrefill.com is one such place. Note that I have no financial ties with them; I have purchased T23 and 600X batteries from them in the past and may continue doing so in the future.
