Which Thinkpad model is this?!
This Thinkpad came up in my Ebay subscription email feed in England (UK). I have no idea what it is but the mouse buttons remind me of the T22 range I think. Never seen one with a lid like this apart from on the Z6x and maybe T6x range.

Badge near the keyboard indicator lights says T20, looks like someone glued on a reflective laptop lid protector.

I agree, looks like a T20 with a sticker.
Dunno how the lid will of aged with that sticker, T20's kinda get sticky in some environments.

Re: Which Thinkpad model is this?!
Maybe that's why they put on a sticker.
Re: Which Thinkpad model is this?!
It is a sticker, as others have said.
All T2* models used CFRP lids. However, on Thinkpads with magnesium lids, such as the 14.1" T4* and 14.1" T60, you can actually sand off the rubber finish to reveal a nice shine, exactly like that sticker. You just need to make sure you spray on some clearcoat or the lids will corrode very quickly.

Ah I see....very interesting. So this is nothing special just someone personalising their Thinkpad.

A lot of my T2x are all sticky up on the lids.Saucey wrote:I agree, looks like a T20 with a sticker.

But, they have titanium alloy cases under that.

Re: Which Thinkpad model is this?!
That machine could be a T20, T21, T22 or T23.
The panel on the keyboard around the Power button and with T20 on it is replaceable (I have such a set).
Or the keyboard from an original T20 was put on a different T2x.
Until you have the MTM it's hard to tell.
Also, you'd want to check the ports on the rear, T23 has 2 USB ports, all other T2x have only 1 USB port.
I wonder where to get such a sticker, one of my T23s has a sticky lid.
On closer inspection, it looks more like some polished sheet metal, it doesn't quite cover all of the lid.
And it's like Hillary: crooked!

Unlike Hillary Clinton though it actually works, looks nice, can remember what it is doing and does no harm to others. Thinkpad for President!
