I have obtained disks for a Thinkpad T30 2367-86G (4G6) but I am having trouble restoring it to factory install.

Where can I obtain a correct set of disks?

Hey RBS,
I'm in the same boat. My HD died in my trusty T30. It's a 2366-43u. Can you help me out?

Thanks,

I was also wondering where I could get the T30 XP pro recovery CD. Bought my T30 off ebay years ago.

Ok...there seems to be a long line of people needing these disks and I'm apparently at the end of that line. Can you please tell me how to get the recovery disk set for my Thinkpad T30. It's a 236656U model. I think it originally had Win2k on it, but XP is fine as well.

I downloaded what I *thought* was a recovery disk of the Lenovo web site, but it turned out to just be a "startup" or boot disk. As soon as I run that one, it's asking me for the supplemental disk, disc 1, disc 2, etc...which I don't have. Any help out there?
Thanks!

RBS,

I thought you deserved at least one post that instead of saying "me too!"
said thanks for your hard work -- this one thread alone looks like it's
turned into a part-time job!

The harddrive on my T30 died and I had to replace it. Unfortunately, I can no longer find my recovery CD's. I probably lost them in the last move. Does anyone know where I can get another copy? Thanks!

i hate to sound like a broken record player, but i have been searching the entire world for the xp recovery cd's for my type 2366 t30, and right when i was about to give up and stick with this messed up generic xp i have right now, i found this thread.

i don't know where you've gotten so many recovery cd's, or how/why you are so nice (what has our world come to where nice people are questioned for their behavior, haha), but please do let me know how i could get myself a copy of a windows xp professional recovery cds realblackstuff. i have the genuine cd keys on each of my laptops, so that wont be needed. thanks for the info and for helping the world :)

also, on a side note, my speakers on my laptop don't seem to work no matter what i've tried to do. i've downloaded all the drivers i could find, upgraded the firmware for everything, and flashed my bios and embedded controller to the latest versions. when i plug in my headphones, i get sound, but once i unplug them, there is no sound coming from my speakers. do you think that could be because of the generic windows i have right now and the problems will fixed once i put the original os on there, or are my speakers just dead?

I hate to sound like a broken record player, but check your PM.
Check the headphone contact for dirt, it might just not reconnect after removal of the headphone plug.
