Is there a way to correct the monitor color on a T22? Mine has a bluish tint noticeable when the background should be white, like when viewing a document.

Assuming you are running Windows and that you have the proper S3 video drivers installed, you might want to try the following:

- Right-click on the desktop and select Properties.
- That should bring up a Display Properties window. Click on the Settings tab.
- There should be an Advanced button; click it.
- That should display various tabs. Look for one named Color, Color Management or perhaps Gamma.
- One of those should allow you to change the color profile. You may have to save it as a default or custom setting / profile.

Sorry to be a little vague but I'm doing this from memory as I don't have a T22 sitting in front of me.

I went into Color Management and added IBMTPLCD as my default monitor profile. I noticed that the current monitor is Generic Television. I tried changing it to IBM ThinkPad 1024x768TFT LCD panel, but it would not allow me to do that. I do have S3 Graphics Savage/IX 1014 installed. I also see a tab S# Gamma, but all that is there for schemes is Default. All color channels are 1.00 and link RGB box is checked. Also have a tab S3DuoVue with LCD checked and nothing else active. Hopefully with this info you can tell me what I have wrong.

It sounds like you have nothing "wrong" with your settings.

Poked around my home office and I found a T22 running Windows XP. Installed the S3 Savage/IX 1014 video driver since the system was still using the generic Microsoft driver. After playing around with the gamma settings it looks like that there's no way to adjust the background (white) tint. Unchecking the Link RGB box will allow you to vary the intensity of the red, blue and green shades independently. However, when I do that, the white background remains relatively white, while the rest of the screen image alters color. Looks like there's no way to change the color thrown off by the backlight.

Appreciate all the extra work you went through! So, it is normal to say my monitor is Generic Television instead of the IBM ThinkPad 1024x768TFT LCD panel? After all the problems I had with the wireless card, I can certainly live with the bluish screen. BTW, the wireless adapter is working fine with the security set. As I mentioned in another post on this forum, there was a software conflict. It was some update that did not belong on my machine. Thanks again for your help.
