I recently installed fuduntu linux on a thinkpad I own. Was impressed. But some features didn't work.

In particular, these I cared about:

-- trackpoint sensitivity I could not adjust

-- middle scroll button.

Most of the fn functions seemed to work, but didn't test them all.

How to enable those in linux?

For trackpoint sensitivity adjustments and middle button scrolling on Linux the easiest method is to install GPointingDeviceSettings, but it is not currently available in the Fuduntu repo. I understand that Fuduntu packagers are working on it, and should have it available in their testing repo in a couple of weeks.

They do currently have these in the repo:
acpitool
hdaps-gl
kmod-tp_smapi-dkms
thinkfan

And I'm told they are also working on having tpb (Thinkpad Buttons) in the repo soon too.
Fuduntu is shaping up to be a fine rpm based ThinkPad distro. And the dev team seems to be made up of some really nice and helpful folks.

Well, wouldn't you know, a little more than two weeks after I make a statement like this, it's announced that today the Fuduntu project has ended.

^^^ Your next statement should be: "Lenovo will never offer up the classic keyboard as an option, bring back an IPS display or 4:3 format screens."
