help: t61p wwan card and fn+f5

#1 Post by wxdjs » Fri Nov 12, 2010 9:38 pm

Help, my t61p 8889-a24, I buy sim slots and wireless antenna, wwan card( lc5730 + td-scdma module), flash bios with whitelist, but can not use fn + f5 to close/open it.
lc5730+ hardware id : usb \ vid_1ab7 & pid_5730
Leadcore 5730D Wireless WAN
Supported ThinkPad Systems:
- Edge 11, Edge 13 (MT: 0217,0221,0250), Edge 14, Edge 15
- Edge E10, Edge E30, Edge E31, Edge E40, Edge E50
- T410, T410s
- X100e, X201, X201 Tablet

In windows xp system, the first cold start ,t61p can not find card, reboot the machine then find it, but can not control with fn + f5

in windows 7 system , fn + f5 does not control ,
after installed access connections ,fn + f5 can see wwan, can open / close wwan by ac,
but actually on the machine led light bar is not closed,it's means wwan card is not closed.

How should I do? help me!

Basically, fn+f5 only works if you use a Lenovo sourced WWAN card that is supported for the ThinkPad model concerned. It wont work with a 3rd party card.
