10.8.3 released.

i installed the combo update and can not boot with new appleACPIplatform.kext, it gives me errors on boot : unable to parse max rpm for fan 1 (maybe i have incompatibility because i'm using other Fakesmc- *edit FakeSMC works ok it must be corrupted somehow).

reinstalled fraisdos125 Fakesmc and no errors now but i had and have some small artifacts (sometimes when i press mission control and have some windows open they getting smaller ok but one window shows like a small vertical line instead of small window)
anyone saw this on their laptop? ^^^^^ [edit* after a "killall Dock" it works as it should, maybe is a bug of mission control-dock]

and thats why i change FakeSMC. (reinstalled kozlek FakeSMC (5.1.41 zip) and works (no testing done) )

Windows server crash for me too .

*just saw new edit from fraisdos125 on first post

*note : i'm using clover r1171 UEFI boot and gpt partition , i can only get in with -x like fraisdos125 said on first post

i think i found something, 10.8.3 boots without changing HD3000 drivers or anything except appleHDA if you select on clover "Drop OEM DMAR" or disable vt-d in bios and from what i see works great :)

*edit : Voodoobattery dont work , says "no batteries available"

Reboot with -x, start Kext Utility then drag and drop patched AppleHDA.kext & AppleACPIPlatform.kext. Then reboot normally worked to me in order to solve the boot problem.
Will check this morning what changed with docking station support. Previously was unable to work with 2 displays: 1 - VGA connected and 2 - DP connected - was getting mirrored displays without possibility to extend...

hello , the thing is that i dont want to rollback to old acpi, we must find a way to patch the new ones to have greater compatibility for the future :) , the new one works if you disable vt-d in bios or drop dmar table so there must be a way (we must get rid of VoodooBattery to not be dependent on patched Acpiplatform)

*[tested it isn't working right]*

for those with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and smbios macbook pro 8,1 getting : AGPM controller Unknown on boot (see logs or have fast eye)
use this AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext from 10.8.3 (with modified info.plist) to get recognised graphics power management,

for 0x0126 : http://www.sendspace.com/file/ikamzr

for 0x0116 : http://www.sendspace.com/file/dudpia

install of course with kext utility

edit* i don't know if the power management works right for graphics on 2520m i have , needs testing (backup the original file for future use)
* it isn't working right (small gfx glitches appear)

fraisdos125 imessage dont work for me , i tried with chameleon and clover , the only thing i didn't try is put credit card info to apple id. (i read that you can be banned by network mac address only on iMessage and your account remains valid on other services , facetime and icloud work ok)

sot_33: The problem I have, that when my docking station connected with VGA and DP ports to 2 24" Samsung LED monitors ML on my machine doesn't recognize the 2nd monitor connected to VGA socket (or maybe display port in that case became secondary, cos POST is running on VGA-connected monitor) as additional one and just mirros display on both monitors :-(
Extended displays worked to me when my laptop ran Windows 7 64-bit and Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit, but ML "doesn't like it"

rugb as fraisdos125 said in first post vga port dont work , maybe it can be done but its not worth it and it may still have problems with 2 displays.

with acpiplatform from 10.8.1 the system works much better , and with the battery fix will be perfect, thanks fraisdos125 :D

new patched ML 1.8.3 AppleHDA.kext 2.3.7, Thanks to tluck from this thread :

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/ ... try1898288

download the 10.8.3 zip from this post --^^^^^^

installed and works perfect as far i can "hear" on x220 with modified fraisdos125 DSDT : http://www.sendspace.com/file/4an19k

*fraisdos125 can you test it too? i just modified audio section , compile , fix errors and then save.

------

* rugb maybe AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext 8.10.44 from tluck files works to enable vga for x220 i havent test it , you can try it . ( please provide feedback if it works :) )

[i tried it myself and it works (you can have dvi + vga display at the same time) but the quality is horrible and has other problems,
i dont recommend it , it just sucks :)

Update *****************

-just noticed that with AppleACPIPlatform rollback 1.8.1 laptop USB ports dont work after sleep and wake up (only the dock usb ports work), i revert to AppleACPIPlatform 1.3.5 and laptop usb ports works after sleep/wake again.

(anyway, the most difficult dsdt patch is that of fixing the battery icon to work with 1.8.1)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

*[my system is the same as fraisdos125] Here is my DSDT if anyone wants to try it, based on latest x220 bios 1.37/1.24 (injects HD 3000 0x0116) : http://www.sendspace.com/file/mpzntb

Works with new patched ML 1.8.3 AppleHDA.kext 2.3.7 from start of the post ^^

(i'm using now AppleACPIPlatform 1.5 ( http://www.sendspace.com/file/9we27l ) till fraisdos125 hopefully finds out how the battery works)

----------

fraisdos125 i dont know but maybe this can help you (acpi book) http://www.sendspace.com/file/9q4w98

https://code.google.com/p/os-x-acpi-bat ... loads/list

*****/update Voodoo battery works too and shows the correct 100%

here is my DSDT (x220 bios version 1.37/1.24 [sound works with AppleHDA from above post]) batt fixed : http://www.sendspace.com/file/nfir0z

***// i want to note that USB ports does not work after sleep with 1.8.1 rollback acpiplatform and i dont know why , if anyone have a fix or suggestion reply

fraisdos125 your usb ports are working after sleep/wake?
(cause if they work then it must be my bios version problem)
thank you.

ispoon i'm not using chameleon at the moment (i use clover) but there must be info in the web for this.

------------------------

*update i have problems with sleep (the computer try to wake up by itself after some time in sleep mode but not wake up and sitting there with full fan speed, maybe is clover settings issue or apps settings issue)

so be careful with newer acpiplatform kexts , the most stable version is 1.3.5.

Hey sot_33,

I'm using Clover and having problems with sleep as well... for me it works sometimes (sleep & wake) but sometimes it just gets stuck (it works a bit on the HD, then when LED should start cycling slowly it goes fast and FAN kicks in again). I can't do anything but reboot then.

Sometimes also after sleep / wake I loose trackpad support...

I never had this on chameleon, though I used the same DSDT and kexts. I suspect an issue with clover UEFI for thinkpads. I posted it on the clover list but no reply.

Any ideas?

i'm using now this config :
i converted my gpt disk to mbr and installed clover 1210 on it with the "BIOS MBR boot0 (HFS+Fat32)" option,
so now i 'm back to mbr theme and clover boots with legacy only on bios, [ i dont recommend these conversions cause you may lose all data and the partition table can be broken ]

miaumiau2 i had these problems with trackpad too , now its ok (but i installed KeyRemap4MacBook (to control the mouse with keyboard with a shortcut key) just in case , the sleep wake works as it should again and have not experience the fast LED light again ... (but the usb ports dont work after sleep/wake) , yes must be something wrong with UEFI (clover or lenovo implementation).

(latest chameleon 2189 works great and i think its more compatible)

I don't see any glitches. However, I have following error in log:

Apr 5 13:17:40 localhost kernel[0]: [AGPM Controller] unknownPlatform

I noticed the battery life decreased a bit between 10.7.4 and 10.8.3. What could be the main reasons? Could this entry be playing a role?

I have installed AGPM kext from the post above for the right board 0x0126. Not sure what provides the platform.

hi , with AGPM on i had some glitches and i dont use it now (on forums they say some random artefacts are normal and appear on real macs too) , but i found this thread here : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/ ... try1822063

and i'll try to reduce the number of outputs to see if there is any difference.

(i reduced the outputs to 2 for now and see how it goes (with 2 outputs the display port of the dock dont work but the display port on laptop works ok )

[with 3 outputs the display port of dock works]

if i see good results i'll post the files if anyone wants to try them (modified AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext)

(10.8.3 versions)

2 ports AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext : http://www.sendspace.com/file/fuw9ne

3 ports AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext : http://www.sendspace.com/file/jwnf0u

(*instructions say to put this code into DSDT : http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=725 )
"but i didnt alter anything on mine and so far all ok with 3 ports"

(maybe the new appleHDA is causing artefacts i revert to fraisdos125 old one)

-----------

and here its Clover Bootloader 1221 if anyone wants to try it out : http://www.sendspace.com/file/kb4sne

as i said previously i had some little glitches show up after long hours use of hackintosh, but i think now this is solved by using this fakesmc 3.1 (HWSensors_rev715.tar.lzma) : http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.p ... topic=2585

and this : http://www.sendspace.com/file/1rcumu
patched AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB to force osx to use 384mb for graphics mem and not 512mb (as i have 8gb ram) [only this thing is patched and not the outputs] [maybe this patch isnt needed]

and i have agpm working now without artifacts.
anyway maybe someone find that useful

Hmm, I launched skype for the first time today and found out that my mic is not working. Which AppleHDA do you use with 10.8.3? The one from the first post? There is one from a later post but the link is not working!

Thx!

i use the one from later post (newer version) , here : http://www.sendspace.com/file/kqf338

you have to change your dsdt , at Device (HDEF) the "layout-id" to 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00

it works perfect but sometimes you have to plug in/out 2 times the headphones for macos to detect the output change (this happens and with the applehda from first post also), bye

ps. i saw your post to clover forum , and i think thinkpad uefi mode has some problems that nobody wants to deal with... , thinkpads must not be very popular among hackintosh users :/

Thanks, dmazar actually just released a new driver for thinkpad and needs testers. Maybe something improved with it? haven't tried it yet. Have a look at the clover thread.

i'm using fakesmc 3.1 from my above posts , but i dont think this has to do with your problem , it is working on windows? my mic works and with previous kexts from fraisdos125, check your bios settings ,maybe is disabled in the bios?

ps. i wanted to test new clover uefi driver but now i'm on mbr :/

just for info, (10.8.3)
now using chameleon 2.2 r2189 [i'm using mbr theme] (note that clover with mbr boots slower than chameleon)

My system is i5 2520m - HD 3000 id 0x0126 - 8gb ram - camera - 128gb ssd - wifi Dell DW1515

in clover install i DONT install OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi and CsmVideoDxe-64.efi

thats the pack i use now and my DSDT (created from latest x220 1.37-1.24 whitelist bios) :

http://www.sendspace.com/file/j0when

AppleACPIPlatform from 10.8.1
appleHDA 2.3.7
FakeSMC 3.1.1 (this is new version 3 from slice, this is the only facesmc that dont display little artifacts after long hours ( 8-10 :) ) of use for me)
IONetworkingFamily with kext to make lan work
RehabMan-VoodooPS2 1.7.17 (now installed latest 1.8.2)
i have this script to reload touchpad kext when and if it stops working : http://www.sendspace.com/file/9i26xx
AppleSmartBatteryManager from RehabMan (VoodooBattery works too with this dsdt)

dont work :

sleep timer from system preferences(sleep timer works with chameleon)
sd card reader
vga out
audio out from docking station
usb ports dont wake after sleep [no fix yet for this] (docking station usb ports works after sleep)
