iPC 10.5.6 install [T500]

#1 Post by chopped » Tue Feb 03, 2009 7:55 pm

has anyone tried to install a 10.5.6 osx86 dvd? for some reason i cant get it to get passed the black screen that shows up when booting with -v. my boot flags when trying to run the installer are "-v -x -f cpus=1" the screen just freezes and the disk stops spinning. anyone know what could be the problem?

got it fixed, went into bios and disabled usb bios and serial port. its installing right now.

edit, ill use this thread to document my install so it can help anyone else with a t500.

Im now having a problem with the keyboard getting detected. im reinstalling now and will try other kexts and see whats up.

edit 2: got passed the screen that said keyboard not detected to the screen that starts registration but still the keyboard and trackpad do not work. whats wierd is that the trackpad and keyboard both work when installing but dont on first boot.

Did you get the video driver working? Do you have your Extensions folder zipped up somewhere that I can nab? I've not been able to get they keyboard and mouse to work either... nor the wifi :(

from what i know we are out of luck getting working graphic acceleration with most mobility cards. if you are still having problems with getting the keyboard to work make sure to go to customizations and enable the usb/ps3 keyboard fix.
