1) I can reboot but not shutdown. Shutdown till I have a black screen.
2) to read out the battery time don't work. I tried much BatteryVoodoo kexts but without results.
3) sleep don't work. USB don't work after wake up and my bios are setting ;(

Thanks a lot

I have the exact same problems you have after installation of 10.8.2 on my T61. Does anyone know if we can fix these problems by adjusting the DSDT? Thx.

BUMP !

Guys,
Need some advices on installing Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on T61p ! (full specs in signature)
I got it installed but it runs extremely slow and it boots only using bootable USB's bootloader. - fixable
Altough, the GUI seems to work fine, but the OS is constantly loading something which makes it to run very slow.

What works:
-GPU, correctly detected (MIRACLE)
-Bluetooth
-FireWire
-Native resolution (1680x1050)
-TouchPad
-HW Volume Buttons (On Screen Display only)

What does not work:
-Sound
-WiFi (pretty understandable, Intel 4965AG) *
-Ethernet
-Sleep

*PS: Is there any posibility to remove BIOS whitelist ?
I need to do that in order to install a BCM4311 WiFi adapter from my old Dell laptop, as it's natively supported by OS X.
Current BIOS version: 7LETD0WW (latest)

Thanks !

yes you can you just have to install middleton Bios for unlimited wifi compatibility.
Here you go

http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/ ... ost6501443

Also I have been thinking about purchasing either a
Atheros AR5BXB112 or a Broadcom BCM94322MC
Both are apparently supported natively by ML. My only concern with the atheros card is that I'll be going back and forth to Windows and I can find anywhere if such card has an available driver in Windows.

Hello everybody I have not yet been able to attempt my ML installation I have however been reading up on my materials and will like to share with all of you my findings.
As far as I can tell wifi will be resoled once you order any of the cards descibed in this post here
I will personally be purchasing the fullsize Atheros AR5BXB112. All these cards are reportedly natively supported by MLOSX. You will need the middleton nios hack for whitelist removal.
Also I just recently found this On it OP created a guide on how to install Leopard on the t61pType 6459-CTO.
Now I have also read before that you can use kexts from previous OSX installations, (such as SL or Lion) on newer installations and will work regardless. This will probably resolve the Ethernet, sleep and sound.
I will also recommend maximizing your Ram at 8gb (the unofficial supported quantity on this thinkpad) for faster and more reliable performance. I will try this during spring break but if there is anyone with the time and the need then by all means go on experiment and let's come up with a solution together!

Hi, I'll try to work on this too once I get my T61p.

There are a lot of posts on a Chinese forum PC Beta about the T61/osx86 that I've been trying to sort through.

Going to use these two guides primarily:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/ ... -7661-cto/
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/ ... fig-guide/

Seems like everything should work in Mountain Lion now that it supports the 570M. Not sure about sleep, brightness, or dual core.

Thansk for the reply!

I would also want to make a little remark that since I flashed my BIOS to the version that unlocks sata II and removes the whitelist, I could not get ML installed with 570M support as with the original Lenovo BIOS. Of course, I have done all needed settings in order to get prepared to hackintosh installation, but still didnt get GPU support.

That's disappointing, that was the first thing I was going to do.

Have you tried adding the 570M's device/vendor ID to NVDANV50Hal.kext?

This is a Google Translation of a forum post on PC Beta that described how to get Mountain Lion working:
Quote:
1, using the latest chameleon; 2, set GraphicEnable = No; 3, use dsdt.aml; 4, use SMBIOS. plist, macpro 3,1 data; 5, the info.plist in NVDANV50Hal.kext IOPCIPrimaryMatch field adding the ID number of the graphics card, such as 0x041010de behind "& ffffffff" content copy, organize them into existing the same content; 6, Enjoy! course, forced quite busy, not enough time for some of the elements mentioned in this post is not to test the GraphicEnable = No is necessary, whether the driver of the macpro 3 1, Can also use other types of data in the NVDANV50Hal.kext more precise, and more; below can network card drivers and sound drivers

No, because speedstep doesnt work after fresh installation and it's almost impossible to work on such a ultra-slow machine . . .
I have tried to load some sound kext's and it resulted in a malfunctioning keyboard (it didnt work at all in OS X after reboot) and I couldnt log into my account.

Got everything that I needed working in 10.8.2. Waiting on a Broadcom BCM94322MC so I can get working wireless. Runs pretty smooth on a T9500 and 8GB of RAM. Temperatures are about 37C idle and 60C load.

Notes (in no particular order):
TSCSync.kext to fix the transparent window bug and dual core
Trim Enabler to enable TRIM on my Crucial M4
VoodooHDA 2.8.2 kext to enable audio
82566MM and Intel E1000e kext for ethernet
ThinkpadUltraNav.kext for TrackPoint
DSDT from viewtopic.php?p=642196
VoodooBattery for battery stats

Brightness doesn't work, but setting it at start up is fine for me. Sleep seems to work but it brings back the transparent window bug, must investigate further.

For anyone experiencing difficulties with the FX570M
use these kexts and follow these instructions.

http://adf.ly/ObMkI

Decompress the Extra Folder, you will see an "_Kexts_For_System" in Extensions.
Put all kexts in System/Library/Extension with Kextwizard or something similar.

ML developer preview worked.
All the credit goes to cdyFlorian.
