Installing a micro SSD on Y580

#1 Post by house kitten » Wed Sep 05, 2012 9:01 am

I just bought a Lenovo Y580 and from what I have heard the hard drive stinks. My plan is to get a MSSD and install the OS on it and keep the 750GB drive for data etc. Any ideas what drive i should get and how I go about installing?

All hard drives stink. I don't think there is anything worse about the performance of the stock Y580 drive than any other hard drive.

For mSATA SSDs, I like the Mushkin Atlas series.

I would buy on price and how much space you need.
ThinkPad L14 - 2.1GHz Ryzen 4650U | 16GB | 256GB | 14" FHD | Win11P
ProBook 470 G5 - 1.6GHz Core i5 | 16GB | 2.2TB | 17" FHD | Mint
