I received my T500 this afternoon and am already trying to install OS X on it. So far it's going smoothly; I'm waiting for it to boot. Do any of you who've gotten your new laptops have a will to ruin your OS install already and try what I've done? I'll post pics later.

I put Gentoo Linux on mine. You might have some problems getting it to recognize the ethernet.

I'm actually at a boarding school at the moment and am not supposed to have brought my own computer (we're supplied R61s) so if I try to use the network the IT team will be upset with me. Not having network drivers isn't much of a problem.

I managed to get OS X installed without good video drivers - it was running at 1024x768. Good enough for me to prove that it can be done. I've already gotten rid of the install so I can put XP, Ubuntu on this computer and put it to work.

For those interested, I used the Kalyway 10.5.2 universal DVD.
