Can someone tell me if this WWAN card will work in a W500?

#1 Post by Smokestoomuch » Mon Aug 25, 2014 9:26 pm

I was reading an article about the virtues of finding a card that does everything... 2G, 3G, 4G and LTE.
This one looks like it has it all. Anybody have any luck getting this one to work in their W500? Or maybe an opinion as to whether it should work?

You'll definitely need a modded BIOS.

Then you can give it a shot and see whether it works.

Thanks George. Is "modded bios" where you run the white list on CD?

I'm fairly certain that for W500 installing a modded BIOS requires a two-step process. You may want to ask someone for a link, or the file itself...
