R52 Intel motherboard and power-on through LAN?

#1 Post by lukee » Mon Jan 23, 2017 5:46 am

Good day!
I have an R52-mobo-based T41 laptop at home and I would like to use it as a server providing multiple services like OpenVPN to connect from outside to my home, DLNA server for my TV providing storage for my films etc. and I would like to ask, whether the motherboard supports power-on over Ethernet? I plan to put the motherboard with accessories and with hard drives to a special case and I would like to be able to operate with it without Thinkpads's keyboard, just SSH.
OS will be most likely Fedora Server.

Thanks!
Current: R51e, X240

My first ThinkPad was 570

TL;DR, but check this: http://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/ShowDo ... _locale=en

If you need more motherboards, I have a box with 8 (all Intel graphics) ready to go.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
