Hi I am trying to run tpfancontrol in Win 7 Pro and keep getting the error message;
Error during initialization of Winio Driver' (winio.sys missing in app folder or failed to load)
I am trying to run this on my T60, it worked perfectly with XP. Any ideas?

Problem solved with NEW version. Reading through some older posts I saw that they were refering to a newer version so downloaded and now it works.

Hi,

This is the latest version of TPFanControl; it's labeled as v0.62

http://staff-www.uni-marburg.de/~schmitzr/tpfc_v062.zip

I'm using an X301 with the same config of yours and here's my temperature tresholds in TPFanControl.ini file:

Level=42 0
Level=45 1
Level=50 3
Level=55 7
Level=65 128

Take care...

I am sorry for the timing of my response, I missed the email advising me of activity on this thread. However "siya-u" is right, 0,62 is the NEW version I refered to. I should have perhaps made it clearer that it was new to me, not NEW. Hope it works for you though, it does for me.

Try a forum search. I'd be willing to bet there are many tpfancontrol threads with T60P as the machine discussed. Here's an advanced search engine for the forum - http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q ... as_qdr=all

Note: Search for - tpfancontrol t60p

Has anyone installed tpfancontrol on Windows XP 64 bits? I succesfully installed it and was using it but the machine was erratically freezing, I did not what was causing this and after uninstalling the 0.62 version of the utility I'm having a very stable machine (but noisy), now when I download again the setup.exe file it doesn't start, what could be the issue here?
