Is there no http://www.ebay.no ?
What if you change your eBay search Item location from Default to Worldwide?

Said item is listed as shipping to the Americas only. eBay does not list items in a general search request if the IP that the user is using is in a country that the seller does not ship to. However, if the overseas eBay user has the item number, then it can be searched/viewed. I just confirmed this using a Norway-based proxy server. Changing search item location to Worldwide (or United States) didn't do anything in this case.

*cough*
It's showing as "Sold for: US $199,499.99"
Did somebody really pay that much for an old decrepit thinkpad?

As far as I know, this is the current eBay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181604157715

If you are/were looking at one of the expired listings, it should have said that the seller has relisted it.

Oddly enough the expired one did say it was sold. The seller could have had someone "buy" it or something. Or maybe someone attempted to buy it and then chickened out.

You'd have to be *very* rich and bored to a 360PE at that price (not to mention there's far more sought after TPs).

It looks like it was just relisted. 'shill bidding' is illegal, and judging by the seller's 100% rating and account dating back to May 2000, it is quite unlikely.

I do agree that there are more collectable thinkpads:

Very collectable:
-701c
-Any of the 800 PowerPC series models (particularly the 860)
-550BJ
-TransNote
-A31P
-S31

Not as collectable, but still nice:
-770X/Z with SXGA screen
-755CDV
-i Series 1124
-600X
-W701DS
-X301
-(maybe) R50P with QXGA screen
Current Thinkpads: W530 (functional classic keyboard mod), X301, T61, T60, T43, A31p, T23, 600X, 770
Other: mk5 Toughbook cf-19, mk1 Toughbook cf-53

$2000 MAX depending on a buyer and the convertibles condition I think. If you will wait another 20 years, value will go way up though :)

It's tough to say what it is worth because due to price fluctuations and no set 'price' due various models, conditions and timing.
I remember an 800 series ThinkPad that almost broke $1,000 via bids, and it had documentations and everything, just a bad battery.
Most of the valuable ThinkPads are the ones with lost chargers, and usually they are sold at sub $60 because of risk attached to it.
Coffee, ThinkPads & Nikon Fan.
