CMOS-battery connector type ? (Siemens PG720P laptop)

#1 Post by 123434 » Sun Oct 04, 2015 7:52 am

Hi (CMOS battery)

Picture: (From an 1998 Siemens laptop Simatic PG720P.)
http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u55 ... xscrer.jpg
+ What type of connector does it have ?
+ What kind of battery to select for max.capacity ? (Original 1998 is: 3.6V cr1/2 AA)
+ Where can I find cheap 72-pin 32mb so-dimm memory for it ? (No notch)
-> Ebay's memory is expensive 20-40$/per piece and I would like 4pcs for full 128mb ram. :P
+ Why does these 1990s laptops sell for 800-1500$ in ebay ? (I could buy a new modern Siemens PG for 2000$)

Have you tried this manual? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs ... nload=true
Have you looked for a Siemens Forum?
You probably may have a better chance posting on the German TP Forum http://thinkpad-forum.de
