Hello all,

Just out of curiosity, I have 2 questions and thought you might know the answers for the 700C released in 1992:

1. What was boot time with a typical Windows 3.1 system and standard hard drive?
2. What was the autonomy with normal use with some word or spreadsheet before it shutoff?

Thanks!

errr.. autonomy..?

the boot time was like forever..
i had a 700 C and it had 16 meg (2, 8 meg memory cards that look like PCMCIA cards but are not)..
there was an upgrade they called blue lightening or something like that..

at this point i don't remember what OS it had..
windows 3 might be correct but its been way too many years..
and that 700C was SO SLOW, even with the blue lightening cpu upgrade i sold it..

welcome to the forum..

Thanks,

By autonomy, I meant: how long would it run on batteries only, without being connected to the grid?

And forever... Can you or someone else be more specific? To me, from my souvenirs, I would have said 3 to 4 minutes... But it is true... It was long ago and just wanted to check with community...

in those days when the batttery was new it should have run for about an hour and a half..
at least thats how long the one i had ran on battery..

your battery is doing very well if it can rurn on battery at all..

that 700C sold new for well over $8000 if my memory is still working.. :)
