E420s users, are you able to play/stream HD video files?

I'm looking at getting a used E420s with the 2.1 GHz i3 processor. I believe this has the integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics. Can anyone verify this laptop has enough horsepower to play full HD video files locally and stream Netflix in HD as well?

I know a HD 2000 can play need for speed shift 2 unleashed in medium at a good framerate (1366 X 768) so I would have no doubt it could play 1080P video, dare I say it could process 4K? (but probably couldn't output 4K)
IBM Thinkpad A31 2.0GHz Pentium 4, 768MB RAM, 40GB HDD and a ATI 7500 16MB shimmed
Lenovo T420 4236-PA8: WiFi card replaced with a Broadcom one (fixes most DPC latency), 64GB Crucial M4 SSD added as OS drive, original HDD in a DVD to HDD caddy.
