I just got my ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch this week. It has Windows 8. Rescue and Recovery does not support Windows 8.
I'd like to make restore media because I want to put Linux on the machine (likely dual booting), and call me crazy, but I'd like a way to put things back if I want to. I've never actually wanted to, but I've always wanted to have that option, and for the first time, I don't.
I have the USB DVD burner, so I could create them, but how would you go about this? Copy the restore partition onto something?
