how to determin LCD panel using machine type model number?

#1 Post by irus » Mon Jul 04, 2016 2:13 am

while purchasing a laptop from EBAY i was on lenovo parts lookup site searching for LCD panel type for 2325-4Z1 it shows both TN and IPS panels. How can one REMOTELY determine whether the specific laptop has an IPS panel or not? is the serial number required?

The S/N is required for parts look-up here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/partslookup
But you never know if the machine's LCD has been replaced in the meantime.
