The same with a good trackpoint and I could be interested as a stop gap solution waiting for something to happen on the lenovo side.

Yeah, we buy ThinkPad because of the excellent TrackPoint...
We have used this on while on buses, taxis, boats, etc. along with our mobile broadband, and the precise TrackPoint had served us well!

And ThinkPad are GREAT machines ;)

My guess would be Panasonic. Panasonic has its own display-department.

1# PC position is contested now, IDC says HP is the biggest PC manufacturer, Gartner says Lenovo.

If all 12" models had 16:10 displays, ThinkPads would have them as well.
