Manage wireless connections in Windows 2000

#1 Post by ulrich.von.lich » Tue Oct 12, 2010 7:52 am

Hello,

I recently installed an Intel 2200BG wireless card in an A31p which runs Windows 2000.

The card works correctly but Win2K doesn't seem to have the integrated program that detects and manages wireless connections like in XP.

So I end up with a wifi password without knowing where to input it.

Any idea?

Thanks!

I would recommend the thinkvantage access connections, that works really wellin win2k. Another option is a third-party solution, I use LucidLink client, and aside from popups when you start the computer about a not-secure network, it works great and I have never had a problem. Intel also makes a program, so try a few and see what you like and what works.
