Well, it does not really matters what desktop manager you are using (for you it is kde) but since xfree86-4.3 has changed it's license, poeple tend to use x.org. But AFAIK Suse delivers still xfree86.

for xinerama (that's the name of the feature you are looking for under linux) or you send me your XFree.conf so I could have a look at what you are using.
