Error Code 0175 BAD CRC1

This IBM T20 will not boot and displays the Error Code 0175 Bad CRC1
The error code page says Bad EEPROM CRC I tried to read up on this but got mostly lists and no clear explaination. any ideas?

You will probably need a new system board.

IBM TP T41p (1.7G/1GB/100GB-7k100/DVD-CDRW/SXGA+/BT)
IBM TP T22 (900/512/40/DVD/CDRW/14")
IBM TP A31 (1.8GHz/512MB/40GB/DVD-CDRW/15" SXGA)
