all,

I have a 40GB Fujitsu Mobile 9.5mm 4200RPM ATA-6 100Mbps MHT2040AT and some top up cash that I want to trade. I am looking for any one of these:

1. PC2700 CL2.5 NP DDR SDRAM SODIMM RAM for a T40p. 512MB is fine, 1GB is better.
2. Some kind of dock/port replicator.
3. A PCMCIA sound card - an Audigy 2 would be nice.
4. Any interesting propositions out there.

The drive is completely new and unused (sealed). I had another MHT2040AT that died and was returned to Fujitsu who sent me this new drive as a replacement under warranty. It is still under warranty by Fujitsu for 90 days starting Jan 15th 2006. I would also top up the deal with cash for items worth more than the HDD. Please pm me if you are interested in working something out.

thanks,

OK, no one wants to spend that much huh?

Lets try something very very different, I have always wanted to have a little fun in life.

Best offer in this thread before 12:00noon Thursday pays the amount they offer + $7.95 via Paypal/Money Order to the US/Canada shipping or actual shipping to anywhere else.

No pms.

This is a great chance for you to get a 40gb drive for next to nothing.

Since its my show and I can do what ever I like, I will top up carbon_unit's bid by a dollar since he was very kind to me in a time of crisis.

To be completely honest, twice actually.

So if he bids $25, it is actually $26 and so on.

Just to keep things interesting. Remember this is all about having fun.

Everyone seems to be bidding in whatever they like so I can you can bid in yen if you like.

I will do a conversion at the end based on the rates here.

All the more fun.

I"m sure the bidding will go up some more. Feel free to bid as much as you want. Steve will not turn down your $60.00 bid.

OK, it took me a while to figure out what the currency was but I now know that 281.662 CNY translates to about $35.008333304 US. Not bad.

Don't worry too much about exchange rates, I will round down to the lower dollar figure.

So, say you bid in Yen, do y'all think that I should make you pay in Yen? Or atleast take a photograph of the currency to prove that you had the cash in Yen/shekels/cowrie shells/whatever?

Anything to keep this interesting ....

That means carbon_unit's bid is worth $38.

It also saves me the trouble of having to do currency conversions ....

Anyone else want to take advantage of this once in a lifetime offer before the drive goes away?

I'll go $42.05 US ...OR... I could trade you the 512MB PC2700 RAM you wanted originally. Your choice.

Did I make it under the time limit? It's only 11:58AM Eastern but I suppose the forum time is 7 minutes fast!

Oh well. I didn't need one anyway. I was just "having some fun" too and trying to help.

Congrats Carbon_Unit!

Much as I would LOVE to get my hands on that RAM, I'm sorry, I do not think I can welsh out of giving it to carbon_unit unless he wants to let me off the hook.

Steve,

You can still have the RAM without trading me the drive (as I said I don't need it anyway... I too was having some fun while trying to help you). I sent you a PM with details. Get with carbon_unit then e-mail me.

Go ahead and let brainpicker have it. I think the forum time is fast too.
If he doesn't want it let me know and I will take the second chance offer.

Just got done with a very interesting three way trade with brainpicker and carbon_unit. The good news is that everyone got exactly what they wanted. I am happy to report that I am now packing 1GB of RAM . . .

Thanks for taking part and making this happens guys.

till next time,

Thanks for offering! The 40 gig HD is installed in a T23 and has been treated to a set of restore cd's and is ready to go.
The best part is that I get the 20 gig'er out of the T23 to put in my old beater 570 that currently has an old 1 gig HD in it.
