When you see it, your opinion may change.

To just call me wrong without having seen it seems (read: is blatantly) ignorant.

All of my colleagues and friends who have used both the X30 and X60 series agree that the X60 series has major improvements over the previous models. The Mouse buttons are less disruptive, and the sleek silver complements the classic Thinkpad back.

IMHO, Lenovo will lose out on a lot of orders if they downgrade their designs. The hardware will be there, but it will also be available from other manufacturers.

Long live the X60 series.

I don't understand your comment. It is clear in my signature that I own both the X60 and X32. The Keyboard and styling on the X32 is better. It's more comfortable to use, and it doesn't burn my hand. I only bought the X32 a couple months ago, so it's not that I was used to it. The style of the mouse buttons on the classic thinkpads, T2x, T3x A3x, X2x, X3x, etc are far superior to the lenovoized thinkpad branded computers. I was quite disappointed when I got my X60, but I love the tablet. It comes loaded with bloat ware, and is still buggy to this day, 8 months later. If I had to use the keyboard regularly, I'd have sent it back, or sold it long before now. Fortunately I use the tablet function 95% of the time. Next time I buy a tablet it will be a slate with no keyboard, unless Lenovo have cleaned up there act. When I eventually buy a new laptop it would likely be either a T series or a macbook pro.

Even with all the issues, I still love my X60.

If this is for real, I like it. Looks like Lenovo is taking the Thinkpad back on track. Hopefully they will get rid of the bloatware. I might actually have to change my mind about Lenovo degrading the IBM Thinkpad.

It's all about the experience. The hardware inside can be identical in 100 different machines. What differentiates the Thinkpad from the rest? It may not be for everyone, but it is for me. The only added features I'd like to see on my X32 are the normal technological upgrades, higher res screen, and maybe a little bitty webcam, so I could visit with my wife while I'm on the road. The webcam isn't a deal breaker though.

I'd also like the base to be extremely stiff so the laptop can be safely handled with one hand without flexing the system board. I am always nervous about that now, after having so much trouble with the BGA on the A31's GPU.
