having JUST got my oily paws on one, i can say my msuspicions are confirmed..
beyond that this new X300 thinkpad is a worthy successor to all its really great ancestors..
i will be taking some photos later of some of those ancestors with the X300 and posting them in a new thread..
well, i learned what went on with fedex..
the guy delivered it to 117 rather than 177.. wrong addr on label..
looked in and saw house was empty..
texted the central station with my phone number and THEY failed to call me so he took it back..
and by the time i started raising hell he was too far gone..
so my tenant called his driver who called the driver who had it and he put saturday delivery labels all over it and here it is..!
and what a neat little thinkpad it is..!
so far i like:
the keyboard with the raised arrows on the page forward and backward buttone, the dispplay is very nice but not an IPS display, the silkscreen on the keyboard bezel for the plugs on the left edge, the bright display and even the blue light under the thinkvantage button..
the logo's on the top cover are very nicely done..
this thing is LIGHT..
so light it took a full 10 seconds to reach the floor in the drop test while running..
it connected quick and easy to my wifi..
don't likes:
the wide bezel around the display but i suppose it is necessary..
i'm looking for something else not to like and so far there is nothing more i don't like..
as i suspected, this vindicates lenovo, being willing and able to continue the thinkpad traditions..
