I have an x61 tablet that I picked up last fall. I bought an HP TV tuner for my express card slot and I cant get the card to work. The light on the card doesn't come on. But the card gets hot so i know something is happening. If I put it in my roommates computer It works fine. Do I have to turn my card slot on or something? Or is my card slot broken?

Cooper

"Card slots: The PC card slot accommodates either one Type-I or one Type-II card. The Secure Digital card slot enables flexible communications and storage expansion. "

No Mention of Express cards. Type-1 and Type-II are PCMCIA specs,

It is only a PC Card (originally called PCMCIA) and not Express Card slot. I'm surprised it did anything more than fry the Express Card (I didn't even realize they were plug compatible).

They are not. The card probably just got warm because it was close to other components.
