T500 SSD compatibility

#1 Post by delete » Mon Nov 09, 2009 1:56 pm

Hello,

Apart from the SSDs that lenovo offers, which other SSD drives can be fitted into a T500 laptop?

Thanks

Any 2.5-inch SATA SSD will work. OCZ Agility, Vertex, or Summit; Intel X25-M; Kingston V Series; etc.

thanks skriefal

edit:: and another question, just to be sure. i remember reading in the users manual that the SSDs that lenovo laptops ship with have an adaptor bracket in order to fit into the laptop. is that adaptor not needed for other manufacturers' SSDs?

Yes, you need the bracket. But you can simply remove the bracket attached to your hard drive and use it with the SSD.

Yeah
But you need the bracket for any 1,8' SSD SATA 300
Without the bracket your 2,5' SSD runs an infamous SATA 150 !
