Your interest is appreciated, HarryC, but Poshgeordie and I (Killer) are good, honest people. We are decent blokes that share decent values. We don't need moderation if we want a curry and swill.
Our wives would probably be glad to join in too. I suspect they would hesitate about traipsing anywhere ... preferring to go by car. It's a long way from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Hampshire ... or even halfway.
Please organise something in New York for your own benefit, if you wish. Meanwhile my wife and I will be busy celebrating the Royal Wedding. How about you? The local pub has a champagne lunch with canapes for GBP 25 a head with profits to the church (12th century) restoration fund. Would you like to contribute as it is a joint protestant and catholic church ... only one of two in Great Britain?
You said you were Irish by descent so maybe you don't approve. That's your choice to approve or disapprove. Up to you. Our French friends can't wait for the event and they chopped their monarch's head off.
C'est la vie.
