Hi all,
I was wondering if there are any forum members meeting in the UK.
Anyone up for one in northern UK (Leeds - the capital of the north :) )

I'm based in Newcastle so could be up for a meeting. However I'm not sure about Leeds being capital of the north..... :D

BTW what do you do at a TPad owners meeting? Swap stories about beep errors we've known...

@garnet: Leeds is nowhere near anywhere except Bradford.

If you want a meeting for UK members then look at the centre of England ... Meridan. That's why the National Exhibiton Centre is near there.

PM me if you want a national meeting and I'll try to help. BUT, as poshgeordie suggests, we are not interested in a meeting of geeks. A good p!ss up and a curry will do for me. 8)

Personally I don't think any self respecting geek would be caught dead traipsing through the English countryside en-route to "A good p!ss up and a curry" with two blokes called 'killer' and 'poshgeordie', but hey it just my opinion

Your interest is appreciated, HarryC, but Poshgeordie and I (Killer) are good, honest people. We are decent blokes that share decent values. We don't need moderation if we want a curry and swill.

Our wives would probably be glad to join in too. I suspect they would hesitate about traipsing anywhere ... preferring to go by car. It's a long way from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Hampshire ... or even halfway.

Please organise something in New York for your own benefit, if you wish. Meanwhile my wife and I will be busy celebrating the Royal Wedding. How about you? The local pub has a champagne lunch with canapes for GBP 25 a head with profits to the church (12th century) restoration fund. Would you like to contribute as it is a joint protestant and catholic church ... only one of two in Great Britain? 8)

You said you were Irish by descent so maybe you don't approve. That's your choice to approve or disapprove. Up to you. Our French friends can't wait for the event and they chopped their monarch's head off.

C'est la vie.

Btw, what is the difference between a posh Geordie and a normal Geordie?

Geordies are people from the Newcastle area.
I have spoken with poshgeordie and I can confirm the posh (speech) part of his username.
It's definitely much more pleasant to listen to than some of the other UK forms of communication, such as mancurian or liverpudlian or cockney!
I would assume a 'normal' (define normal) geordie speaks non-posh.
