Hello, after browsing a bit, I have a few questions concerning the LCD mod for the x200:

I understand that the mod can only be performed with a CCFL screen, not a LED one. Is it still the case?
And if so, are there any ways to tell them apart (I'm interested in a sealed product, I don't have much information)?
For example, is the presence of a webcam an indication?

Thanks a lot!

You can upgrade an LED X200, but you have to replace the cable and LED sub card with a cable from the CFFL X200 and X200 inverter, along with the screen of course.

I don't know what you mean by sealed. Are you going to buy the whole LCD unit?

The camera indicates you have the camera, but doesn't have much bearing on the LCD.

No I meant, the laptop I might buy is sealed, never been opened, so the seller cannot tell me much about exact components.
Hence my wanting to identify the LCD without looking directly in Windows, or whatever.

Seems like a CCFL would definitely make things easier...
Thanks for the info!
